Everybody Has a Story
Pine Street Inn’s story begins in 1969 on Pine Street in Boston’s Chinatown, offering approximately 200 men suffering from alcoholism a safe alternative to living on the streets of Boston.
Since then, the organization has evolved. Every day, we work with 2,100 individuals — providing a comprehensive range of programs and services, including housing, shelter, outreach, behavioral health services, and job training and placement.
Every person here — our guests, tenants, staff, donors and volunteers — has a story of how Pine Street Inn has touched their lives. We hope you enjoy learning about just a few of these stories.
