Allycia Solomon-White — Helping Others Find Home

Allycia Solomon-White, lead housing search and stabilization case manager, joined Pine Street Inn six years ago.

“My grandma was a foster parent for many years, so I grew up with the desire to help others,” shares Allycia. “She inspired me to go into the human services field.”

Allycia began her journey at the Men’s Inn, initially working in operations before transitioning to the housing placement team. In her current role, Allycia helps people find housing, along with the support needed to remain housed. “Seeing people achieve stability and knowing that I played a small part in helping them get there is so rewarding,” says Allycia.

Building connections is the cornerstone of Allycia’s work. “A few years ago, a client transferred to me from another case manager,” she recalls. “He didn’t trust me at first, but we found common ground, and he began to open up. Now, he calls me at the holidays to say ‘hello’.”

Beyond her clients, Allycia finds strength in her colleagues. “Having a team that supports one another makes coming to work enjoyable,” she says. “I have learned so much at Pine Street, and every day reminds me why I chose this work.”
