Recovery Services

Our substance use treatment and recovery work includes a post-detox program providing intensive treatment and support for homeless men with histories of chronic substance misuse.

The Stabilization Program assists adult males (21 years or older) with successful recovery and reconnection to the community, providing short-term clinical and support services, maximizing the potential for successful recovery and providing an understanding of the need for continued treatment. The program is able to support individuals dually diagnosed with a mental illness, as well as those living with HIV/AIDS or other chronic medical conditions.

Our work provides:

  • Post-detox residential program
  • Individual and group education and counseling for addiction and co-occurring mental health issues
  • Case management
  • On-site medical services, including psychiatric assessment and monitoring
  • After-care planning and placement
  • Access to Medicated Assisted Treatment
  • Remote SOAP groups

Pine Street also understands that recovery is about more than staying sober; it is a lifelong process of making positive changes in personal lifestyle to prevent future relapse and promote health and wellness.

We practice the Wellness Initiative, a holistic approach to recovery, in our post-detox programs. The Wellness Initiative addresses this gap, introducing the six components: physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a client's life.

The Stabilization Program adheres to the requirements outlined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), ensuring the privacy and security of each patient's health records. Read our Privacy Policy. Current third-party payers include Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership, BMC HealthNet, Neighborhood Health Plan, Fallon Health Plan, Tufts Health Plan, and Commonwealth Care Alliance. A limited number of beds for the uninsured are available. Additional resources can be found at the BSAS helpline or
