becoming a Volunteer involves three simple steps:
STEP 1: initial telephone meetingSchedule a time for a meeting via telephone with us by calling 617.892.9184.
Chatting via telephone will give you a chance to learn more about volunteer opportunities with us, and whether we are the right fit for you, your group, etc. Once this step is complete, we will invite you to fill out a Volunteer Application.
STEP 2: DO THE PAPERWORK

STEP 3: ATTEND AN ORIENTATION
Help Pine Street serve breakfast any day of the week. Breakfast servers are needed from 6 to 7 a.m. at our emergency shelter in Boston's South End.
FILL-IN MEAL SERVICE
Do you live or work near Pine Street? Are you available in the evenings? If so, you may want to consider becoming a fill-in meal server. Occasionally, Pine Street needs last-minute help for dinner service. When this situation arises, we turn to our fill-in volunteers for extra support. Because not every fill-in volunteer is able to offer help at all times, we rely on fill-in servers to ensure that we always have enough volunteers to help.
The health clinic at Pine Street is in need of friendly and outgoing volunteers to greet guests in our Men's Clinic. Shifts are available in the morning and evening Monday-Friday.
