Women's History Month

Join us this March as we celebrate Women's History Month

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society in the United States.

In 1981, Congress passed a resolution establishing a national Women’s History Week. Six years later, the National Women’s History Alliance successfully petitioned Congress to expand that event to the entire month of March.

This year’s theme as designated by the National Women’s History Alliance, Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, “recognizes women throughout the country who understand that, for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions.”
