Apartments for homeless to be built after lawsuit over parking settled

3368 Washington Street Housing Development Now Can Move Forward

We are glad this housing development partnership with The Community Builders can now move forward. The development will create 202 units of housing, of which 140 will be for individuals experiencing homelessness, with supportive social services onsite.

“This is literally a groundbreaking project for us,” Pine Street Inn President & CEO Lyndia Downie notes. “The people we’re targeting for this have been homeless the longest and have the hardest situations,” Downie said. “The support services are the glue that helps folks acquire and stay in the housing they need.”
