HOUSING

Since 1984, Pine Street Inn has developed permanent, supportive housing for homeless individuals and families with on-site support staff. Pine Street currently houses more than 800 tenants at 36 residences throughout greater Boston.

SHELTER

Since its founding in 1969, Pine Street Inn has been a place of refuge to Boston’s homeless residents. Today, emergency shelter remains one of Pine Street’s core services.  Seven hundred men and women come to Pine Street for shelter each night.

JOB TRAINING & PLACEMENT

Each year, more than 600 men and women take part in Pine Street’s job training and job readiness programs. Three job training programs teach participants both the vocational skills and the attitudinal skills needed to find and maintain employment. IMPACT Employment Services provides assessment, counseling, placement and job retention services to job-seeking men and women.

RECOVERY SERVICES

The Stabilization Program is a 50-bed residential addiction treatment program providing intensive post-detox treatment for men in early stages of recovery.

STREET OUTREACH

Day and Night, Outreach workers offer clothing, food, blankets, health care and human contact to the most vulnerable sector of the homeless population: those who—often struggling with mental illness and addiction—shun shelter life. The team works to build trust with these men and women.

Pine Street Inn also works at a policy level focusing on legislation that will help bring positive change to the lives of homeless men and women.
