Callie Crossley


Callie CrossleyCallie Crossley is host of The Callie Crossley Show on WGBH-FM, an hour-long daily show covering current events, local happenings, arts and culture and water cooler buzz. 

The talk show is the latest chapter in the career of Crossley, who has been an award-winning broadcast journalist, documentary filmmaker, and radio and television commentator, currently offering regular commentary on media for WGBH-TV’s Beat the Press and Fox-TV’s Morning News Show.

Prior to her current work, she was a producer for ABC News’ 20/20, reporting on health issues. Crossley also produced the Oscar-nominated hour of the acclaimed documentary series, Eyes on the Prize: America’s Civil Rights Years 1954-1965.

Mary Jo Bane
Mary Jo Bane is Thornton Bradshaw Professor of Public Policy and Management, Academic Dean and Chair of the Management, Leadership and Decision Sciences at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Previously, Bane was Assistant Secretary for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and served as Commissioner of the New York State Department of Social Services. Previously at the Kennedy School, she served as Director of the Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy. She is the author of a number of books and articles on poverty, welfare, families, and the role of churches in civic life.
