Pine Street Inn provides a comprehensive range of services, including permanent supportive housing, job training and placement, emergency shelter and street outreach to nearly 2,000 homeless men and women each day. Founded in 1969, Pine Street is the largest resource for homeless men and women in New England.

Mike had only $11.32 when he stepped into the cold December air at South Station. The bus ride to Boston brought him closer to his six-year-old daughter, who had been placed in foster care. Although Mike didn’t know anyone in the city, he found shelter and safety at Pine Street Inn. Mike found a job with an electric company. He worked each day and saved up for a stable home for himself and his daughter. Now, they live in an apartment, and he is studying to be a nursing assistant.
