Flexible Supports Team Leader-Paul Sullivan Housing, DMH 09-64

Location: Boston, MA (Location Varies)
Shift: Morning / Afternoon - First Shift
Full-Time


This position will provide leadership to the Flexible Supports Team under the DMH Community Based Flexible Services model, new to PSH. Flexible Supports Team Leader will be instrumental in developing the clinical team and will work in collaboration with the Director of PSH to hire, train and develop staff of the Flexible Supports Team. He/she will assist in developing and training staff (some of whom will be transferring from former PSH positions) on policies and job responsibilities of the new service model. He/she will be instrumental as a change agent in this reorganization by providing leadership and guidance to staff and tenants.

Ongoing responsibilities will include leadership of all facets of CBFS Flexible Supports Team providing support services to persons served of the Department of Mental Health in both PSH residences and scattered sites. These responsibilities include supervision of staff, oversight of all clinical aspects, and meeting all DMH and other regulatory and funding requirements.

Requirements are:

  • MA degree in psychology or related field
  • Currently certified or have ability to achieve MAP,CPR, and First Aid certification.
  • 5 years experience providing services to adults with mental illness, supervising staff, and managing programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and writing IAP documentation according to Medicaid Rehab Option, CARF, and DMH licensing standards.
  • Ability to effectively integrate clinical understanding into IAP documentation, including diagnostic and  psychopharmacological information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to function under pressure in a fast paced human service environment.
  • Solid understanding of basic clinical and program model concept.

Preferred:

  • Experience developing program policies and practices as well as experience in establishing and maintaining excellent external and internal partnerships to meet program goals.
